Monika Krizic

Monika was a Master’s student in Dr. Daniel Pape’s Phonetics Lab from 2021 to 2023. Her research focused on prosodic speech production and perception in individuals with varying levels of autistic traits. Specifically, her research aimed to find out if the cue-trading of prosodic cues (e.g. intensity, duration, fundamental frequency, and vowel reduction) differ depending on how people with different levels of autistic traits (as indicated by one’s score on the Autism Spectrum Quotient) produce and perceive prosody, and if differences in prosodic cue-trading exist on a continuum dependent on one’s level of autistic traits.
