Audrey Ho is a first year PhD student trainee in the Syntax Lab at ARiEAL. In her recently completed Master’s thesis, she proposed a novel syntactic analysis for a class of Pseudo-Noun Incorporated bare nouns in Cantonese. Moving forward, she is interested in contributing research on the syntax of object scrambling, with a focus on Chinese languages. She hopes to incorporate experimental methodology into her syntactic research (experimental syntax) to shed light on certain theoretical linguistic issues that may benefit from a different dimension of data that experimental approaches are able to offer.
Audrey is looking forward to supporting and further promoting the collaborative and welcoming interdisciplinary research environment at ARiEAL.
