Paloma Van Vliet is a graduate student in the Master of Cognitive Science of Language program at McMaster University, where she studies computational linguistics and explores how modelling and computational methods can be used to understand, represent, and support current syntactic theories in linguistics. She is excited to pursue her interests at the intersection of computer science and linguistics, particularly in a rapidly growing field shaped by changes in technology and language use.
Paloma completed a BA (Honours) in Cognitive Science of Language at McMaster University, where she wrote an undergraduate thesis titled “An Investigation of =lu in the Language of Inuktitut.”
