The Canadian Linguistic Association (CLA) will hold its 2018 conference as part of the Congress of the Humanities and Social Sciences at the University of Regina (Saskatchewan, Canada) from May 30 to June 1, 2018. Members are invited to submit abstracts representing all areas of linguistics. You must be a member of the CLA when you present at the conference. To become a member of the CLA or to check your membership status, visit https://www.cambridge.org/core/membership/claacl.
The abstract submission deadline is February 4, 2018. For more details about abstract requirement, travel grant and student paper/poster contest, please visit CLA 2018 Conference webpage. Please note if you would like your paper to be considered for the student contest, the paper cannot be co-authored by a faculty member. Since many students do experimental work where it is customary to include the supervisor as a co-author, the provision adapted for this conference is that you submit your paper without the faculty name on it. If the paper is accepted, you will include the name in your presentation as “under the supervision of..” or “in the lab of…” (whatever appropriate). Please consult with your supervisor prior to submission.
