ARiEAL Research Centre will be co-hosting the Grad Student Orientation with Department of Linguistics and Languages on Monday, September 14, 2020, 2:30-4:30 pm. All ARiEAL affiliated graduate students are welcome. This event is organized by AOT Learning Series Coordinators, Kelly Nisbet and Mariam Bekhet.

Agenda:

• Welcome remarks by:
  Dr. Magda Stroinska (Chair of Department of Linguistics and Languages),
  Dr. Elisabet Service (Graduate Program Chair of Department of Linguistics and Languages) and
  Dr. John Connolly (Director of ARiEAL Research Centre)
• Brief meet and greet with ARiEAL researchers/staff and CogSciL faculty members/staff
• Presentation on “Tips and resource for your graduate school life” by Chelsea Whitwell (PhD student). This is customized based on the survey results from all of you, and topics such as scholarship, housing and student/supervisor relationship and more will be covered.
