A formal Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed between the ARiEAL Research Centre at McMaster University and the Department of Psychology and Speech-Language Pathology at the University of Turku (Finland) recently. This MOU was spearheaded by ARiEAL’s Dr. Victor Kuperman, and Dr. Jukka Hyönä at the University of Turku. The objective of this MOU is to promote academic collaboration for research, education and community service between the two institutions. This is ARiEAL’s first MOU with an European institution. Earlier this month, Dr. Raymond Bertram from University of Turku visited ARiEAL Research Centre and delivered a very engaging workshop on reading process. This marks the beginning of another new chapter of collaboration. Both Drs. Kuperman and Bertram were interviewed and featured on the McMaster’s Brighter World.
