Some of you may remember that last year, Dr. Marisa Young and Dr. Loa Gordon, the director and assistant director of the Centre for Advanced Research on Mental Health and Society at McMaster visited us to discuss student mental health and share findings from the World Mental Health McMaster Study. Drs. Young and Gordon play a key role in the WHO World Mental Health International College Student’s (WMH-ICS) landmark study based out of Harvard Medical School on the contributors to and prevalence of mental health problems among university students. McMaster is one of twenty participating universities.
We’re delighted to welcome them back to ARiEAL to share updated results from their study! This event will take place on Thursday, November 27, 3:00pm, at LRW 4018.
As part of the program, our very own ARiEAL trainee, Audrey Ho, will lead a workshop on her strategies for managing and navigating grad school-related challenges.
