Our first guest is someone that many of you will remember: Heather Wild. Heather completed her Masters in the Cognitive Science of Language program in 2023. During her studies, she was a member of the Reading Lab and focused on big data analytics and language learning. Heather used her skills from the Cognitive Science of Language program as a freelance technical editor, a user experience researcher and prompt engineer at the tech start-up Lingvist, and currently as a business analyst at Stryker Canada.

This event will take place on Wednesday, January 29, 3:30pm, at LRW 4001.

The aim of this series is to invite ARiEAL Alumni that have been doing amazing things since graduating to talk to us. They will talk about their current jobs, the paths that led to their current employment, how their degrees in Language Science helped them find their jobs, is helping in their current roles, and some of the struggles that followed graduation. Following a short presentation, our speakers will open up for discussion and answer your questions.
