[Lecture Series] Decomposing the Frequency by Skill Interaction

By Dr. Sascha Schroeder, November 1, 2017, 11:30 am – 1:00 pm

Department of Linguistics and Languages will host a talk by Dr. Sascha Schroeder from Max Planck Institute for Human Development (Germany) on November 1, 2017. This is the second of the Cognitive Science of Language lecture series of the current academic year. In this talk, Dr. Schroeder will discuss two alternative approaches to explain the commonly observed frequency by skill interaction in visual word recognition, which refers to the fact that frequency effects are typically stronger in less-skilled readers than in more-skilled/ individual.
