Fareeha Rana

Dr. Fareeha Rana’s current role as a postdoctoral fellow under the supervision of Dr. Kucerova is to support ARiEAL in developing and advancing their Core Research Platform (CRP). Dr. Rana graduated in 2022 with a PhD in Cognitive Science of Language under the supervision of Dr. Elisabet Service and Dr. John Connolly. Her research explored the role of unexpected temporal variations on the pre-attentive processing of linguistic and non-linguistic tokens with the aim of deepening our understanding of how unexpected rhythmic elements of speech are cognitively processed. She is interested in better understanding the building blocks of language and how they interface with one another using multi-modal research designs and computational modeling.
